Richard Bailey becomes director of family-owned Stepnell
Regional builder Stepnell has hired the former boss of Bam鈥檚 UK construction business as a director.
Richard Bailey (pictured) left Bam in 2016 after spending 39 years at the business working his way up to managing director of the contractor鈥檚 UK construction business.
Warwickshire-based Stepnell said Bailey鈥檚 role was a newly created post and he was joining to help the family-owned Rugby firm take turnover up from the current 拢156m to 拢200m by 2020.
Stepnell joint managing director Tom Wakeford said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e delighted to have attracted someone of Richard鈥檚 calibre to our board. He is well-known for his creative thinking and personal approach with customers and employees.鈥
The firm, which carries out jobs with a value up to 拢30m, is currently working on a new 拢9m technology building for Nottingham Trent university and is expanding the students union building at Leicester university under a 拢12.5m deal.
