Sport England chief says Europa Centre defines the concept of 鈥榣egacy investments鈥�

Formation Architects鈥� 拢4.9m Europa Centre sports centre has been officially opened in Bexley, south-east London.

It boasts a gym, weightlifting, boxing, dance and martial arts studios as well as social and medical facilities.

The 5,508m虏 amenity was built by contractor ISG Jackson Ltd. for Barratt Homes.

Jennie Price, chief executive of Sport England, said the venue would allow local people to enjoy their sport in world-class facilities.

鈥淭he Europa Centre encapsulates exaclty what we鈥檙e aiming to achieve through our legacy investrments,鈥� she said.

The centre recieved some 拢1.24m of National Lottery funding, via Sport England鈥檚 Iconic Facilities fund.
