All builders wishing to join the association must pass inspection

The Federation of Master Builders will inspect all new members in a bid to increase confidence in its marque among consumers.

好色先生TV firms wishing to join the association already have to prove they have been trading for 12 months or more, have liability insurance, are VAT registered if applicable, pass financial and public record checks and can provide a professional referee.

The new inspection requirement came into force yesterday.

Richard Diment, director general of the FMB, said: 鈥淚nspecting the work of our new members is a further step forward for both members and their clients to raise standards in the building industry.

鈥淭he introduction of inspections is part of an ongoing process of professionalization for the FMB and its members. We believe our members are the best in construction and the inspection helps prove that.鈥
