Victorious England rugby players were greeted with a huge St George flag unfurled on the front of a construction site during their World Cup celebration parade in central London on Monday. The 94 脳 16 m flag hung in front of the 拢53m West 8 site on Regent Street, which is being built by Bovis Lend Lease and Stanhope for the Crown Estate.

  • The Rugby Football Union has received initial approval for an 拢88m redevelopment of the south stand of its Twickenham ground in west London. The scheme was designed by Ward McHugh Associates and Arup is due for completion in 2007.
