Victorious England rugby players were greeted with a huge St George flag unfurled on the front of a construction site during their World Cup celebration parade in central London on Monday. The 94 × 16 m flag hung in front of the £53m West 8 site on Regent Street, which is being built by Bovis Lend Lease and Stanhope for the Crown Estate.The Rugby Football Union has received initial approval for an £88m redevelopment of the south stand of its Twickenham ground in west London. The scheme was designed by Ward McHugh Associates and Arup is due for completion in 2007.
