Clutch of consultants appointed to residential phase of developer Quintain’s £2bn Wembley Park regeneration scheme
A clutch of consultants have been appointed to deliver the first residential phase of developer Quintain’s £2bn Wembley Park regeneration scheme.
Quantity surveyor Tower 8, engineer Campbell Reith and services engineer Hoare Lee join architect Grid on the project team to deliver the first 500 homes of architect Make’s 1,300-home masterplan.
The 500 homes will be delivered within seven buildings of various sizes surrounding an acre of private green space.
Quintain expects to appoint a contractor for the phase in the first quarter of next year, with construction expected to start later that year.
Quintain – which has worked extensively with contractor John Sisk at Wembley, including on the new London Designer Outlet, which opened last week – has not yet decided on a tendering approach for the residential phase.
The launch of the 280,000 sq ft London Designer Outlet completed the 1.8m sq ft first phase of Quintain’s 8.5m sq ft Wembley Park development.
The shopping centre includes 65 retails units, 15 restaurants and a nine-screen Cineworld cinema.
EC Harris was quantity surveyor on London Designer Outlet, while Stace was project manager, Halcrow was the engineer and Forman Roberts was services engineer.
As part of phase one, Quintain has also renovated Wembley Arena and built 500 residential apartments, a 361-bed Hilton hotel, a 660-bed student accommodation scheme and a multi-storey car park.
