Winners include Aecom, Mott MacDonald and Capita Symonds
Bam Nuttall, Galliford Try, Atkins and Halcrow are among a host of firms to win a place on the Environment Agency鈥檚 拢1bn water and environment management framework.
The framework will cover the first four years of a ten year spending programme that will see the agency invest 拢2.5bn in upgrading the nation鈥檚 river and coastal flood defences. The framework can be extended for a further two years.
The framework comprises four different areas covering modelling mapping and data; environmental services; engineering, and asset delivery.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: 鈥淭he award was based equally on price and quality and meets our objective of delivering the best value to the taxpayer. We are committed to transparent procurement and detailed feedback has been provided to all the bidders.鈥
