Work on Cork scheme to start this autumn
University College Cork is on the hunt for contractors to build a €32m (£27m) dental school and hospital.
Designed by Reddy Architecture & Urbanism and US practice HOK, the project includes a 8,975m2 dental education and research building (pictured) along with extra office space to comply with regulatory standards and provide capacity for growing student numbers.
The Irish university has given firms until next month to register interest in the job.
The deal will run for 21 months with shortlisted bidders notified by 23 March.
University College Cork received planning permission last year and has already appointed local outfit Punch Consulting Engineers as civil engineer, London firm O’Connor Sutton Cronin as M&E engineer and Aecom as QS.
Work is expected to begin this autumn with completion scheduled for 2022.
