Cable manufacturer Nexans has introduced Alsecure Premium, its new range of CR1-C1 certified fire-resistant cables.

The company says the cables are specifically designed for fire safety systems, and can be used in offices and commercial buildings. Alsecure Premium incorporates Nexans鈥� INFIT polymer technology, which changes the cable鈥檚 plastic covering into a ceramic layer in the event of a fire to ensure the circuit does not break. The company claims Alsecure Premium is three times stronger than traditional fire-resistant cables.
