Marley Eternit’s Natura Pro fibre cement cladding has been used on the facade of the Rock mixed-use development in Bury, Lancashire
The cladding also uses the company’s Pro coating, a silky matt surface.
The coating also protects against staining, including graffiti produced by common aerosols.
The cladding panels were installed in a shiplap style on what will be one of the tallest structures on the development of apartments, shops and restaurants. BDP specified the system to add volume and depth to the structure. This was helped by the horizontal shadow lines created by the shiplap style.
Feature walls of block-effect cladding, again using Natura Pro were also used. Marley claims the fibre cement cladding requires minimal maintenance and is rot-resistant.
