拢15m project involves 16-storey tower
Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios has won planning for Belfast鈥檚 first 鈥渂uild-to-rent鈥� project.
The 拢15m project will see a 16-storey tower built on Academy Street in the Cathedral Quarter.
As well as 90 flats there will be a caf茅, communal amenity space and a concierge. The scheme is intended to appeal to professionals, small families, corporate renters and downsizers.
Sam Tyler, partner at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, said the flats would liven up and provide diversity of residential type in an emerging student area.
He said: 鈥淲e sought to complement adjacent historic buildings with high-quality contemporary architecture and are pleased that the building鈥檚 design has received support and been granted permission by the city council.鈥�
Work is expected to start in January with completion scheduled for early 2020.
