Alsop has revealed these images of his £11.5m Docklands Light Railway station in Stratford, east London.
The project, which has just started construction, is designed to replace the station, which would not be able to accommodate the passengers generated by the Olympics and Crossrail. The roof of the station is made from lightweight steel and is supported on oval steel columns. The scheme received planning permission last year and is due for completion at the end of next year.
The design-and-build contractor is Hochtief.
