New Eurocode 5 design code for timber structures promotes common standards across the EU
Guidance on the design of timber building structures to Eurocode 5 has been released by the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Timber Research and Development Association.
The new Eurocode 5, which will ultimately replace BS5268 Part 2, is a design code for timber structures and promotes uniform standards for structural engineers working in the EU. It aims to help create a seamless marketplace and benefits in the trading of skills and expertise.
