Firm will move into redeveloped offices in 2012, its 150th anniversary year
Consulting engineer Hoare Lea has signed a 15-year lease on 22,000ft2 of office space at the King’s Cross Central regeneration scheme in London.
King’s Cross Central Partnership, which is leading the 67-acre development, confirmed the company has taken space in the scheme’s Western Transit Shed and will relocate there in late 2012.
Hoare Lea will move its 165-strong London staff to the redeveloped shed from smaller offices on Tottenham Court Road.
Camden council and BNP Paribas Real Estate have also take office space in the scheme.
King’s Cross is one of the largest developments of its kind in Europe, and will deliver up to 2,000 new homes, 3.4 million ft2 of office space and 500,000ft2 of retail space.
The finished site is designed to provide 20 new streets and 10 major public spaces as well as shops and leisure facilities.
