Musician Sir Elton John is considering using London Eye architect Marks Barfield to draw up designs for a gallery for his photographic collection at his mansion in Windsor, Berkshire.
好色先生TV understands that Sir Elton will meet project managers next week to decide whether to go ahead with the scheme and whether or not to use Marks Barfield.
A source close to the project said that Sir Elton had been considering converting garage and storage space in the grounds of his mansion for some time. The source said: 鈥淓lton is looking at creating a new gallery for his black-and-white photos, which he is passionate about. We are looking at a space of about 2000 ft2.鈥
The source added that Sir Elton and his partner David Furnish will consider the designs and, if they are happy with them, will then apply for planning permission. He said: 鈥淭his project was originally planned a couple of years ago but at the last minute Elton pulled out.
It鈥檚 sensitive, so we鈥檒l have to wait to see if he likes the designs.鈥
The source said Marks Barfield was yet to meet Elton John or have any formal contact with the singer-songwriter. He said: 鈥淭hese negotiations are at a very early stage.鈥
Two years ago, Sir Elton auctioned off the contents of his London home in Holland Park, west London, to create more space for his photographic collection.
