Consultant wins contracts to manage 18 buildings in the UK

Consultant EC Harris has won a contract with the Department of Trade and Industry to manage all its outsourced services amounting to around 拢18m per annum. The deal will see EC Harris manage all of the DTI鈥檚 18 buildings in the UK.

Amir Baharlou, partner at EC Harris, said: 鈥淭his is a bigger challenge than most facilities management contracts, because the DTI is the UK鈥檚 shop window to other countries.鈥�

The firm will provide a range of functions including building services, catering, energy, environment, waste, security, business continuity, client and visitor hospitality, health & safety and physical security.

Current EC Harris government clients include the DFES, Her Majesty鈥檚 Courts Service, the Insolvency Service and the Driving Standards Agency.

The firm also works on projects and consultancy commissions for the Home Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, DEFRA, the Treasury, the Scottish Executive, Welsh Health Estates and Her Majesty鈥檚 Prison Service.
