Consultants win contract with Shell worth 拢10m over four years
EC Harris and Turner & Townsend have won the two main places on a global project services contract for Shell. The contract could be worth up to 拢10m in fees over four years.
The framework covers the oil giant鈥檚 capital projects in 26 countries, and involves scheduling, estimating, cost engineering, contract management and real estate project management.
Mark Howard, head of oil and gas at EC Harris, said the framework value would be 鈥渋n the millions鈥 for the firm. 鈥淵ou鈥檙e talking over 拢10m over the four-year period,鈥 he said.
The appointment comes as EC Harris seeks to increase its activity in sectors such as oil and gas as part of a global growth strategy. In July, chief executive Philip Youell said the company wanted to increase its expertise in that sector alongside energy and transportation, and add services such as developing asset performance, programme delivery and sustainability capability. At that time, Youell said that he was targeting a turnover of $1bn (拢636m) in about four years, with the move being driven by increasingly large projects.
The company reported a turnover of 拢310m in its last set of results.
