A winning hand can also be a helping hand at 好色先生TV's second charity poker tournament at the Grosvenor Hotel next month
好色先生TV's second annual Poker Kings tournament next month will give readers the chance to win some cash for themselves and help a charity grant wishes for sick children at the same time.
The tournament will be held on Thursday 16 October at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino, and anybody from the construction industry who wants a chance to beat the credit crunch blues with a glass of bubbly and a flutter can come along - but book your ticket first.
Last year expert Willie 鈥渢he dice man鈥 Tann battled it out Texas Hold 'em style with Tony McWalter, the former Labour MP for Hemel Hempstead, who eventually swept up most of the 36,000 chips in play, securing a comfortable win.
If you think you could do better, come along. And for those new to the game not wishing to rely solely on beginner's luck, there will be a 30-minute training session before play starts.
Tickets for the tournament, which is being sponsored by Doyle plc, cost 拢250, including free food and drink. And as an additional incentive Doyle chairman Stef Stefanou will hand over his watch to whoever knocks him out.
One-third of the proceeds will go to Wishes 4 Kids, a charity that grants wishes to youngsters in Leicestershire who are terminally ill, have experienced life-changing trauma or are diagnosed as HIV positive (http://www.wishes4kids.co.uk/).
