Liverpool Waters Patagonia Place

How Liverpool Waters鈥 Patagonia Place will look

The regeneration arm of the Peel Group has announced developer X1 will be in charge of the building of its 278-home, 31-storey tower block that will form part of its controversial Liverpool Waters scheme.

Developer X1, which is responsible for the construction of The Tower near the Albert Dock in the city, will own and sell the homes in the tower, as well as oversee Liverpool-based contractor Vermont鈥檚 building of Patagonia Place.

It will be the fifth residential development at Princes Dock, one of five new neighbourhoods being created as part of Peel L&P鈥檚 Liverpool Waters development.

The scheme, for which Peel L&P is the landowner and masterplanners, has been controversial as it was among development being put forward cited by Unesco prior to it because of overdevelopment in 2021.

Liverpool Waters is expected to be delivered over 30 years and is sold as being a development that will 鈥渃ompletely transform the city鈥檚 northern docks, creating a sustainable world-class, high-quality waterfront, including retail, leisure, office, and residential space, and bringing life back to the historic docklands鈥.

The waterfront development will be the home for the new Isle of Man ferry terminal, being built by McLaughlin & Harvey, and Everton FC鈥檚 new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, being built by Laing O鈥橰ourke.
