Council wants area around town’s station spruced up
A Merseyside council has extended the deadline for developers to get back with ideas to revamp the area around Runcorn station by a week.
Bids were due in today (Friday) but Halton borough council said this has been pushed back until 9 November.
The masterplan for the site has been drawn up by architect practice We Made That and is designed to make the space a more welcoming area into the town.
The council said Runcorn is one of eight key impact areas identified in its Mersey Gateway Regeneration Plan.
