Total Project Integration appoints contractor on building designed by Brewster Bye Architects
Total Project Integration has appointed David McLean Contractors to build a £13.5m mixed-use scheme for Welbeck Land in Leeds.
Designed by Brewster Bye Architects the building neighbours the West Yorkshire Playhouse in the city centre.
When complete, the scheme will comprise 128 apartments, together with 403 sq m retail and leisure accommodation on the ground floor. A reinforced concrete frame will form the main structure, with the upper two floors made from a steel frame.
Craig Stevens, contracts manager for David McLean, said: “In recent years we have become heavily involved in schemes within city centres and have considerable experience working on tight sites. As a result we have taken extensive measures, such as suspending cabins overhead, to keep the site as tidy as possible.
David McLean is also working closely with local residents and neighbouring organisations including the BBC.
