鈥淲e鈥檙e growing the group as a whole, not just concentrating on fit-out,鈥 Freeborn said.
Freeborn made the comments as Curzon released results for the year to 31 July. Pre-tax profit increased 28% to 拢1.7m and turnover rose 48% to 拢58.5m.
Freeborn said turnover would be between 拢90 and 拢100m for the year to 31 July 2003. 鈥淭hat will happen as the impact of the new businesses we have acquired is felt. We鈥檙e looking to grow Jarvis Newman despite the office market shrinking.鈥
Freeborn said that the group intended to expand its hotel fit-out business. Curzon has recruited Tony Kay, former director of technical services for hotel chain Rocco Forte to help grow this side of the business.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a specialist market and Tony has the knowledge that will put us at the forefront of the hotel sector,鈥 Freeborn said.
This week, Curzon also set up Strategic MM, a business that will handle office moves.
