Mark Syrett joined the firm in September 2020
The man in charge of Currie & Brown's London business has left after less than two years in the role.
Mark Syrett, the consultant's regional managing director for London, South-east and Channel Islands, said in a : "I have met and worked with some great people at C&B during the last couple of years. The team have delivered some fantastic acheivements during the pandemic.
"As we now come out the other side new opportunities arise, including for myself. More of that later..."
Currie & Brown declined to comment on Syrett's departure and who would be replacing him.
Syrett joined the firm in September 2020, switching from rival Gleeds where he was a director and head of rail.
Prior to his three-year stint at Gleeds, Syrett worked as a project management and commercial consultant for Crossrail between 2011 and 2016, which included working on the sale of the Paddington Cube site to developer Sellar, a project now being built by Mace.
The news comes three months after Currie & Brown’s chief executive and chair both left the firm after nearly 70 years at the business between them.
Chief executive Euan McEwan left after a 16-year stint while chair David Broomer, who turned 70 last November, departed after 13 years in the position.
Broomer’s departure marks the end of a 51-year career with the consultant – his entire working life. The firm said the chairman’s role would no longer exist once he left.
McEwan was succeeded by Alan Manuel, who had been chief operating officer Europe and UK since 2016 when Currie & Brown won a bidding war with WSP to snap up the then-listed Sweett Group for £29m.
Currie & Brown, which is part of the Lebanese firm Dar Group that also owns architect Perkins & Will, is expected to move into a new London headquarters next year at 150 Holborn currently being built by McLaren.
Currie & Brown was bought by Dar nearly a decade ago.
