Cost consultant Currie & Brown has appointed Euan McEwan group chief executive officer after Angus McLean relinquished the position to become executive chairman of the group.
McEwan, 49, brings with him extensive experience in the construction and management consultancy sectors.
Prior to joining Currie & Brown last year, McEwan was executive director of utility services company AWG, where he was responsible for the infrastructure management. He has also been an executive director of Carillion and has held senior management positions with Tarmac Construction and Coopers & Lybrand.
McLean said: 鈥淐urrie & Brown has grown significantly in recent years from a traditional quantity surveying company into an international consultancy, offering cost management, project management and consulting services.鈥
He said the firm鈥檚 strategy was to grow the business by pioneering new techniques and practising innovative ideas to consolidate its position in the industry. He added: 鈥淲e are delighted that Euan has joined the company; as he is an outstanding businessman with experience that will enable us to deliver our strategy and strengthen the business.鈥
Currie & Brown is currently working on the rationalisation and modernisation of the BBC鈥檚 property in London, and is heavily involved in Partnerships for Schools鈥 好色先生TV Schools for the Future programme.
