Irish materials group continues acquisition spree, bringing it's total spend for the year to over £1.4bn
CRH has bought £124m of Cemex concrete plants in the USA, bringing its total 2007 spend on acquisitions to over £1.4bn.
The Irish materials group has purchased 26 concrete plants, six block plants, and two quarries from Cemex in Florida and Arizona for a total of $250m (£124m).
The group has gone on a €2bn (£1.425bn) spending spree in the last 11 months, buying Swiss builders merchant Getaz Romang in May and Chinese cement company Harbin Sanling in February, as well as further acquisitions in the Netherlands, Turkey and USA.
CRH will issue a trading update statement on 3 January.
