Contractor already has orders for 拢1.6bn of work beyond 2014
Contractor Costain has already secured 拢1.6bn of revenue for 2014 and beyond, it announced today.
In a statement to the City the firm reported an order book of 拢2.4bn with 拢1.6bn of that being for 2014 and beyond. It said 拢640m of revenue for 2013 had been secured.
The balance of the firm鈥檚 order book was for work in 2012.
The firm also said it had a high level of bidding activity and was preferred bidder for around 拢400m of work.
In the statement the firm said: 鈥淐ostain is meeting the integrated service requirements of major customers, who are continuing to invest in essential infrastructure projects. Despite the on-going challenging economic conditions, Costain remains on course to deliver a result for the year in line with the board鈥檚 expectations.鈥
Recent wins for the engineer include an appointment to a 拢288m framework for nuclear decommissioning firm Magnox, which runs for the next ten years. It will see Costain provide infrastructure, construction and maintenance across the Magnox鈥檚 ten sites.
