Work is due to start in the summer
The Royal Veterinary College has started the search for a contractor for a 拢25m redevelopment of its Hertfordshire campus.
The college said it was looking to expand its Hawkshead campus, near Potters Bar, as its current facilities were being stretched to the limit.
It said: 鈥淭he college has experienced a recent growth in teaching, clinical and research activities.
鈥淭his is now putting increasing pressure on the college鈥檚 building and facilities more, particularly at Hawkshead.鈥

Work on the project is expected to kick off on 14 July, with the main contractor due to finish the job by February 2021.
According to a contract notice published to the Official Journal, contractors will have until 22 February to register their interest in the scheme.
The college is planning to shortlist up to six bidders, who will be invited to tender by 15 April. A winner is due by the middle of June.
The wider project team includes Glasgow-based architect Norr Consultants, Aecom as services engineer, Quantem Consulting as quantity surveyor and Conisbee as structural engineer.
An application for detailed planning was submitted to Welwyn Hatfield borough council in November.
