Bidders have until 13 March to express interest
Fareham borough council is looking for firms to bid an £8m arts scheme designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios.
The new designs for Ferneham Hall include an 800-seat theatre, a new foyer, café and bar plus a studio space for small groups.
Work will involve partial demolition of the existing building, internal remodelling, building a fly tower and external landscaping works.
Feilden Clegg Bradley won outline planning permission for its proposals last October with detailed planning due in March. According to a planning report for the council’s executive, the main concerns have centred on the visual appearance of the white bricks originally proposed but the building will now feature red and grey brickwork.
The wider project team for the Hampshire scheme includes Mace as project manager, Currie & Brown as quantity surveyor and BH Live as the operator.
The 1980s-built venue closed earlier this month ahead of construction work starting with the revamped building due to open in 2022.
Bidders have until to express their interest.
