Firms interested in 拢4bn framework must use online register to avoid duplication of pre-qualification assessment
Constructionline is to be used to vet contractors vying for a place on the new 拢4bn ProCure21+ framework.
Constructionline is the UK's largest register of pre-qualified contractors, and is endorsed by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.
All firms submitting an expression of interest for the six-year health capital investment framework will be required to provide a Constructionline registration number.
The Department of Health will use the register in a bid to avoid the duplication of pre-qualification questionnaire assessment that has already been conducted.
Contractors registered with Constructionline will then be issued with the memorandum of information and a set of questions specific to ProCure21+. Consortiums and joint ventures will also be required to submit their Constructionline registration details.
An OJEU notice for the new framework, which is due to replace the existing ProCure21 from September 2010, was published early in June.
Matt Kearsley, client relationship manager from Constructionline, said: 鈥淎 complex framework like ProCure21+ would normally place a huge administrative burden on both those applying and the procurement team in DoH.
鈥淗owever, using our system as a filter eliminates the need for Constructionline registered firms to submit substantial amounts of information and allows the Department of Health to focus on delivering quality in its selection process.鈥
