Countryside Properties is the highest ranking construction company in the top 250 mid-market private firms, followed by Lagan Group and Farview New Homes
Construction firms feature heavily in a list of the top 250 mid-market private firms which appeared in this weekend’s Sunday Times.
Property developer Countryside Properties was the highest-ranking company at number seven with sales of £358.9m followed by civil Lagan Group at 27 thanks to £300.8m sales and housebuilder Farview New Homes at 41 with sales of £281.8m.
Other housebuilders in the list include Linden Homes (45, £279.9m), Stewart Milne (111, £216.7m), Higgins Group (143, 191.3m) and Morris Group (176, £172.6m).
Contractors who feature in the list are Mace (54, £270.9m), RG Carter (80, £235.9m), Midas Group (88, £230.7m), Osborne (99, £224.5m), Seddon Group (115, £212.1m), David McLean Holdings (122, £206.7m), Simons Group (128, £203.7m), Headcrown (134, £196.4m), Dean & Dyball (155, ££184.7m), McNicholas Construction (172, £173.7m), Mclaughlin & Harvey (203, £160.6m), Robertson Group (209, £159m), The Apollo Group (213, £157.7m), Ardmore Construction (225, £150.7m), McNicholas plc (227, £149.3m) and Ogilvie Group (231, £147.4m).
Other construction groups in the survey are construction materials company Burdens (57, £265m), building product supplier Anglian Group (63, £256.6m), property developer Peel Holdings (107, £219.1m), civil engineer Barr (116, £211.4m), builder Cala Group (166, £175.9m), property developer The Emerson Group (177, £172m) and civil engineer Clancy Docwra (188, £166.8m).
