New London Architecture will explore planning and design of hotel in lead up to Olympics

London鈥檚 deputy mayor, Sir Simon Milton, will give the keynote address at the New London Architecture (NLA) conference in February on future planning for the growth in the capital鈥檚 hotel capacity.

The conference will address what the strategic policy for visitor accommodation in the capital is, will look at the process of attracting hotel investment and examine some of the best recent and upcoming examples of hotel design.

Taking place on the morning of 18 February, the half-day event will also address the fact that the hotel industry is experiencing a period of growth and investment in London in the lead up to the 2012 Olympics. The mayor's London Plan calls for 40,000 net additional bedrooms by 2031.
