Group will focus on net zero and people and skills issues
The Construction Leadership Council has unveiled a three-year strategy which will include appointing a new board to give the group more strategic direction.
It said it will focus on four long-term ambitions which it said will help boost productivity and create a more resilient industry.
The areas it will focus on include Net Zero and Biodiversity, Next Generation Delivery, 好色先生TV Safety and People and Skills.
It added that it will also look at more pressing challenges such as mitigating the impacts of inflation, managing delivery risks and business sustainability.
CLC Co-Chair Mark Reynolds, who was appointed to the role in the summer, said: 鈥淭he last two years have been momentous for the construction industry, and the CLC has helped to guide and support the sector through a very complex time, saving countless jobs and still delivering the homes and infrastructure our communities need.
鈥淲e now want to build on that success to enable a new era for delivery, strengthening collaboration across construction and speaking to Government with a single voice. We must work together to overcome the challenges we face and leverage the opportunities available.鈥
The CLC also said it will be recruiting industry sponsors and young ambassadors to sit within its new structure.
It said the young ambassadors will be young professionals currently in the sector to support the CLC鈥檚 succession planning.
