The Construction Industry Training Board is launching a computer program to help construction firms monitor and audit health and safety information.
E-Safe100, which is to be launched today at a health and safety business conference, collates safety data from sites and projects and also includes a telephone hotline for advice.

E-Safe100 will include an automatic email alert system for firms to follow up health and safety issues and an online reference database of information.

Frazer Clement, head of business development and planning at the CITB, said the construction industry was under pressure to improve its safety record.

He said: 鈥淓-Safe100 will provide health and safety information on site fast but, just as importantly, raise the standard and consistency of safety reporting.鈥�

A strategic partnership between Knowledge Online and the CITB has involved trials of E-Safe100 on a number of construction sites.
