Architect takes over from John Miller & Partner on the refurbishment of Tate Britain
Caruso St John has superseded John Miller & Partner as architect for the continuing refurbishment of Tate Britain in west London.
The appointment over five years will entail several refurbishment projects that fit into a recently completed masterplan and add to the development of the side entrance and lower galleries carried out by John Miller & Partners in 2002.
Fresh from completing the £4.7m refurbishment of the Museum of Childhood in east London, Caruso St John beat DRMM, DSDHA, MUMA, HOK International and Rick Mather Architects for the new appointment.
