Contractor takes rail jobs in Scotland and the South-east

Carillion has won two contracts with Network Rail worth a total of 拢111m in Scotland and the South-east.

The firm will build the Airdrie-Bathgate rail link, including a set of new stations and structures, and all earthworks and groundworks. The contract, which will last 18 months, is worth 拢80m.

It will also carry out enablement works on the Great Eastern Line, rewiring the route from Liverpool Street in London to Chelmsford in Essex. This contract is worth 拢31m.
