Seven-year TFL deal for new overground service is worth 拢80m to Carillion Rail
Carillion Rail has been awarded an 拢80m contract by Transport for London.
The seven-year contract will cover the maintenance of the East London Line.
TFL said the appointment marked an 鈥渋mportant milestone鈥 in its preparations for the new London overground service, which will run from Dalston Junction to West Croydon and Crystal Palace. The service will open in June 2010 following the completion of the 拢1bn East London Line extension and link.
Carillion will provide the management, technical resources, plant, equipment and labour to maintain the new railway.
