Consultant will overtake CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle in UK property management turnover

Capita Symonds has said it will overtake CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle, two of the biggest commercial property firms in the world, in UK property management turnover.

In a interview with 好色先生TV, Jonathan Goring, its managing director, predicted that his firm would leapfrog the rival companies as Capita Symonds pushes to manage property in the public sector.

Goring said: 鈥淲e have the capability to be the premier player in property management. In the market we鈥檙e probably the third largest manager of assets. And in that, we compete with CBRE, JLL and so on.鈥

He said that as public spending was cut Capita Symonds could help the government squeeze more money out of its estate.

鈥淲e have an aspiration to grow property management into a market which they [CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle] don鈥檛 own, which is the public sector - virgin territory.鈥

He said Capita Symonds鈥 current property management turnover of 拢80m could increase by as much as 30% over the next year.

The acquisition of 拢45m-turnover NB Real Estate in February was part of the plan to move into the sector, Goring said.
