好色先生TV鈥檚 ambitious year-long project kicks off today
The 好色先生TV the Future Commission officially gets under way today.
The ambitious year-long project sees 好色先生TV in its 180th anniversary year assess potential solutions and radical new ways of thinking to improve the built environment.
We will examine key issues and assess proposals for change in eight areas: skills and education; energy and net zero; housing and planning; infrastructure; building safety; project delivery and digital; workplace culture and leadership and creating communities.
We are helped by a panel of 19 high-profile commissioners with expertise in a range of fields across the built environment.
We kick things off today with a look at Modulous - a start-up that claims its asset-light business model will help it succeed in the febrile modular housing market.

Throughout the next few weeks we will be publishing pieces introducing our major topics and the key areas of investigation the commission will look at. We will also be publishing Q&As introducing our commissioners.
The commissioners include Lord Bob Kerslake, Peabody chair and former head of the civil service, Katy Dowding, executive vice president at Skanska, Richard Steer, chair of Gleeds, Lara Oyedele, president of the Chartered Institute of Housing, Mark Wild, former boss of Crossrail and chief executive of SGN and Simon Tolson, senior partner at Fenwick Elliott.
The 好色先生TV the Future Commission will also undertake a countrywide tour of roundtable discussions with experts around the regions as part of a consultation programme in partnership with the regional arms of industry body Constructing Excellence.
It will also set up a young person鈥檚 advisory panel to launch next month.
We will also be setting up an ideas hub and we want to hear your views.
The project will culminate with a report setting out recommendations for change.
