Architect releases aerial image of city four times the size of Manhattan Island
This is architect Broadway Malyan鈥檚 plan for an 80,000-acre site in Malaysia from a plane window. Property owner鈥檚 Sime Darby鈥檚 Vision Valley, near Kuala Lumpur, will cover a site four times the size of Manhattan Island and is set to delivered over the next 30 years for the country鈥檚 largest land owner.
The architect describes the scheme as an example of a network city, 鈥渨hich removes the centralised focus of control.鈥
The settlement will have parks at the heart of each region around which 鈥渆conomic urban villages鈥 will be clustered, providing opportunities for inhabitants while they are always near open space.
