Amey and Costain start work on phase one of 拢400m scheme

A joint venture between Amey and Costain has reached financial close on the 拢400m 好色先生TV Schools for the Future programme in Bradford.

Construction work on phase one of the project is expected to finish in August 2008 and the revamp of the whole secondary estate in Bradford is due in five years.

Bradford is the fifth BSF to reach financial close.

Bradford councillor Colin Gill said that the city had also had confirmation that it was to be included in the pilot Primary Capital programme.

He said, 鈥淭his means that we have secured 拢6.5m to develop primary school provision on our primary special school sites.鈥

BSF is a 拢45bn government initiative to modernise England鈥檚 secondary school estate by refurbishing or rebuilding every school within the next ten years.
