Thomas Vale to build Aston-on-Trent scheme
Bouygues UK’s Midlands regional business Thomas Vale has won a £30m contract to build a retirement village in Derbyshire.
The scheme in Aston-on-Trent will include a wellness spa with swimming pool and gym, hair and beauty salon, library, IT room, terrace café, restaurant and garden bar, and landscaped grounds.
It will provide three forms of accommodation: one and two bedroom apartments for independent retirees; suites with a ‘hotel style’ package to help with the daily chores; and 24-hour nursing and dementia care within a care home.
The client for the project is Richmond Care Villages, part of Bupa.
The village is due to be completed in 2016.
