Galliford Try has won a place on Yorkshire Water鈥檚 拢330m framework this week, as well as four contracts worth a total of 拢23.2m.

Under the water deal, which is a joint venture with Aecom, the contractor will undertake major upgrade works and projects to improve the quality of bathing water on the east coast.

The joint venture has already been awarded two schemes, worth a combined 拢25m. It will upgrade the Acomb Landing water treatment works in York and Caldervale waste water treatment works in Wakefield.

The company has also landed four contracts in the health and education sectors. They are an 拢8.1m building for the University of Manchester; two contracts worth 拢9m at Ninewells hospital in Dundee; and a 拢6.1m medical centre and library for Liverpool & Sefton health partnership.

In Manchester, Galliford Try will design, build and fit out a five-storey building for the school of chemical engineering and analytical science.

In Dundee, it will develop a nuclear medicine unit and an assisted conception unit.
