Developer鈥檚 Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners-designed 28-storey Eastbury House residential scheme is approved
Developer St James, a subsidiary of housebuilder Berkeley, has been given permission to build its 28-storey Eastbury House scheme on the south bank of the Thames.
The Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners designed scheme was voted through unanimously by members of Lambeth Council鈥檚 Planning Committee this week.
The development, which comprises three towers of varying heights will feature large public open spaces on the ground floor with offices above and flats, some of which will be affordable housing, on the upper floors.
Graham Stirk, partner at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, said: 鈥淲e have designed a highly flexible residential building that is tailored to its fantastic riverside setting and look forward to making further improvements in the next stage of detailed design developments.鈥
The scheme is located within the Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area, which features the new US Embassy project and the Battersea Power Station redevelopment.
