Architect RMJM has been appointed to design and engineer three projects at Newcastle College worth 拢16m, including this 拢8.8m "beauty, sport and tourism" building. The practice will also renovate and extend the college's 1960s concert hall and the 19th-century Rye Hill House. The 拢18m Performance Academy is under construction and due for completion next autumn. The contractor is Sir Robert McAlpine and QS and project manager is Turner & Townsend.
