Aidan McLeod 鈥 who joined the project in 2014 鈥 resigns from BPSDC
Battersea Power Station鈥檚 project director Aidan McLeod has resigned, 好色先生TV has learned.
McLeod has been working on the project since 2014, after joining Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) from Brookfield Office Properties.
His departure follows that of former chief operating officer Philip Gullett, who left BPSDC in November last year, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In further changes Jon Harris, Capco鈥檚 former group cost manager, joined BPSDC last month as senior commercial manager.
The management shifts come as BPSDC looks to replace French contractor Bouygues as main contractor on the 拢1bn Foster + Partners and Frank Gehry-designed, residential-led third phase of the development, situated to the south of the power station.
McLeod told 好色先生TV in 2015, at the time of Bouygues鈥 appointment, that the contractor was picked because it could deliver concrete frames itself without the need to subcontract that work out.
The concrete frames were at the time viewed by McLeod 鈥渁s one of the biggest project risks鈥 and he said Bouygues 鈥渄escribed a fabulous proposal to deliver it and remove a great deal of risk鈥.
The third phase of the development has been split in two with flats in Phase 3a already launched for sale, while Phase 3b, which includes the Gehry-designed 鈥淔lower 好色先生TV鈥, is yet to hit the market.
Skanska is on site converting the grade II-listed power station into a mixed-use scheme, including offices for tech giant Apple, while Carillion is finishing the first residential phase to the west of the site.
