Architect Maccreanor Lavington releases designs for 279-home scheme in Barnet
Architect Maccreanor Lavington has released images of its designs for a 279-home scheme for Barratt at the Stonegrove estate in Barnet.
The architect said the designs for the final phase of the regeneration scheme, which have already won a Housing Design Award, had been influenced by the Garden City movement.
The scheme, called Evolution south, will provide 146 apartments and 147 terrace and courtyard houses arranged in tree lined streets. Gavin Finnan, associate at Maccreanor Lavington, said: 鈥淲e believe that a home is a family鈥檚 greatest investment 鈥 financially and emotionally 鈥 and therefore don鈥檛 experiment with, or seek to invent, new materials and claddings for the sake of novelty. Brick weathers well, ages gracefully and doesn鈥檛 require a huge amount of repair or maintenance鈥.
