Deal understood to be firm’s largest ever of its type
Bam has won a fit out contract for work on a hotel scheme at Edinburgh’s St James Quarter.
The overall development has been built by Laing O’Rourke with Bam appointed by Nuveen Real Estate to carry out work on the 12-storey W Edinburgh scheme designed by Jestico + Whiles.
Bam said the deal is its largest fit out to date and is believed to be worth around £40m.
Others working on the-bed hotel include Glasgow practice Keppie Design with the work also including public areas as well as a rooftop restaurant and outdoor terraces. Work is due to finish at the end of next year.
The £1bn St James Quarter opened last summer and was designed by Allan Murray Architects.
