Firm looking for fourth boss since 2020

Bam Nuttall boss Ian Parish is to leave the company barely a year after taking the top job. 

The civils firm is currently on the hunt for a successor, with Parish set for retirement at the end of the year. 

Parish, who turned 66 in August, has almost 40 years combined experience during three periods working at Bam and had taken over as managing director just last September.

The Dutch giant鈥檚 civils arm saw revenue jump from 鈧�974m (拢814m) to 鈧�1.3bn (拢1.08bn) last year, helped by its work on the HS2 railway where it is part of a Kier team building the line in the Chilterns.

Parish鈥檚 successor will be the third boss in as many years, with the firm yet to land on a long-term leader since the June 2020 departure of Steve Fox, who had been in charge for a decade. Fox was replaced by Adrian Savory but he left after just 16 months in charge.

A spokesperson for the company said Parish had the firm鈥檚 鈥渂est wishes and sincere thanks for all his contribution鈥�. 

It comes alongside further change to the upper echelons of the Bam, with a new managing director appointed in the group鈥檚 FM arm. 

Abbe Pickthall, who has held senior roles at CBRE, Mitie and Engie, will replace the departing Louise Williamson in the role.
