Work on Glasgow job to start next summer
Bam has won a £35m contract to build Scotland’s biggest health centre in Glasgow.
North East Health Centre will house 900 staff, bringing together community health services that are currently split across nine different sites.
The scheme is being built on behalf of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and Glasgow Health & Social Care Partnership.
The design and build contract will feature a three-storey building that includes10,000m2 of clinical, support and training space along with car parking.
The hub will provide a host of other services including GP surgeries, a pharmacy, specialist children’s services and learning disability services.
Work on the scheme, which was designed by Hoskins Architects, will start next summer and will be delivered in phases. It is due to be finished by early 2025.
