Construction can begin as soon as occupier signs up
Bam Properties has been given the green light to build a 拢23m 115,000sq ft seven-storey commercial office development in Leeds.
The development, part of the 拢180m mixed use Latitude project in the West End of the city, will be configured on a bespoke basis for the prospective occupier, Bam said.
Construction on the development, which will be undertaken by Bam Construction over 18 months, can begin as soon as the occupier signs up, the company added.
Michael Smart, development director at Bam Properties, said: 鈥淭his will be a high-spec development, designed and built to achieve a BREEAM 鈥榚xcellent鈥 rating to deliver energy efficiency and low running costs.
鈥淭here are two outstanding features: flexible floor layouts that can be specified by the future occupier and a raft of energy efficient features.鈥
BREEAM is a widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. It assesses buildings against a set criteria and provides an overall score which will fall within a band providing either a 鈥榩ass鈥, 鈥榞ood鈥, 鈥榲ery good鈥, 鈥榚xcellent鈥 or 鈥榦utstanding鈥 rating.
