Work on building will finish summer 2022

Housing association Home Group has appointed Bam to build its new head office in the middle of Newcastle.

The 拢360m turnover firm, which is currently based elsewhere in the city and also has offices in London and Edinburgh, expects to move 700 of its 2,600 staff into the six-storey building in the St James鈥� area by summer 2022.

The 70,000 sq ft building (pictured) is being developed by Ask Real Estate which is also working on the nearby 拢260m Gateshead Arena due to be built by Sir Robert McAlpine.

Bam is set to start work on the deal, thought to be worth around 拢25m, this autumn. Architect on the six floor scheme is local practice Ryder.
